The Cross-Functional Communicator: From Data to Management

Coming out of my studies, I was stuck with a resume that screamed "intern." I had technical skills, but they were buried under academic language that didn't resonate with full-time hiring managers. The real "aha!" moment happened during my interview process for a management-level role. Instead of just answering questions, I treated the interview like a boardroom meeting. Using the collaborative projects I worked on at SquareOne, I practiced delivering complex technical reports in English to non-technical stakeholders. In my final three-round interview, I didn't just "talk" about my skills—I gave a full technical presentation. I showed them exactly how I could translate raw data into actionable business strategies that a marketing or sales department could understand.
