Job Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Data Analyst. The Data Analyst will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to data analysis, utilizing analytical skills, data analytics, statistics, and data modeling. We are seeking Data Analysts who can discover business opportunities using the data collected. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for effective communication of data insights and findings. We welcome International Students to apply for the role. All volunteers can be sponsored for OPT with supervised training opportunities to get you ready for your next journey. Please send your resume to [email protected].

Key Responsibilities

  • * Hiring Intelligence & Signal Detection
  • * Indicator Identification: Research and define high-intent 'hiring indicators' (e.g., recent funding rounds, new office openings, executive leadership changes, or specific spikes in job board activity).
  • * Market Segmentation: Develop data models to categorize companies by size (SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise) and identify unique hiring patterns for each segment.
  • * Competitor & Trend Analysis: Monitor labor market trends and competitor movement to identify underserved industries or geographic regions.
  • * Data Project Development
  • * Pipeline Engineering: Build and manage end-to-end data projects that scrape, clean, and organize external market data into actionable leads.
  • * Lead Scoring Models: Develop a scoring system that ranks companies based on the probability of them needing professional staffing services (e.g., Project Managers, Estimators).
  • * Workflow Automation: Collaborate with the team to automate the delivery of 'hot leads' into the CRM or sales pipeline based on real-time data triggers.
  • * Reporting & Insights
  • * Market Heatmaps: Create visualizations that show which sectors or regions are currently experiencing the most growth in professional-level roles.
  • * Efficacy Tracking: Analyze the 'hit rate' of the identified hiring indicators—refining the data models based on which signals actually lead to successful client conversions.

Desired Qualifications

  • * Data Mining & Scraping: Proficiency in using tools to extract data from the web (e.g., Python with BeautifulSoup/Scrapy, or no-code scrapers) and leveraging APIs (e.g., LinkedIn, Apollo, or OpenCorporates).
  • * Advanced SQL & Programming: Strong command of SQL for data manipulation and Python or R for statistical analysis and project automation.
  • * Automation Tools: Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier, or Make) to bridge the gap between data collection and business action.
  • * Visualization: Ability to build 'scannable' dashboards in Tableau, Looker Studio, or Power BI that highlight market opportunities.
  • * Analytical Mindset
  • * Pattern Recognition: You don't just see data; you see the 'story.' You can tell the difference between a routine replacement hire and a company-wide expansion.
  • * Business Intuition: A strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and what makes a company a 'qualified lead' for professional services.
  • * Methodical Research: A 'detective' approach to finding non-obvious data sources that provide a competitive edge in market intelligence.

Degree Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Please send your resume to [email protected].
